Lego Fortnite is one of the three brand new game modes coming to the game this week. Here's when you'll be able to dip in to the true build mode.

Fortnite's new chapter is underway, off the back of a hugely successful live event and the end of Fortnite OG (which is coming back next year). Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is rolling out three new modes this week; the music-based Fortnite Festival from Guitar Hero and Rock Band creator Harmonix, Rocket Racing which is a racing mode from Rocket League developer, Psyonix, and Lego Fortnite, a brand new mode which mashes up the game with the world of Lego.

Despite making an appearance in The Big Bang event over the weekend, we don't actually know too much about Lego Fortnite yet. Epic Games describes it as an "all-new survival crafting adventure" which has led some players to speculate that the mode will be Fortnite's take on Minecraft, but we don't have to wait for long to know for sure, as Lego Fortnite arrives this week on Thursday, December 7.

As part of the collab, we'll be seeing over 1,000 Lego Fortnite Skins drop in-game, and be sure to to link your Epic and Lego accounts for the free Lego Insider Fortnite skin before then!

Lego Fortnite release time

The Lego Fortnite release time is set for 12pm GMT / 7am EST / 4am PST on Thursday, December 7. While Epic hasn't given the exact Lego Fortnite release time, Fortnite leaker @ShiinaBR has claimed on Twitter that this is the time the Fortnite Item Shop will update in conjunction with the Lego Fortnite release time.

We'll update this piece if Epic does come out with an official Lego Fortnite release time announcement. Its likely that the Lego Fortnite release time will set the precedent for the launch of the Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival modes, that are also dropping this week.

From the sounds of things, Lego Fortnite (as well as Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival) is here to stay for the foreseeable future. So you don't need to worry about playing it constantly once it launches to see everything it has to offer, as it'll likely be around for a very long time.
