Paddy McGuinness is said to be in the 'process of moving on' from his ex-wife Christine after the couple shockingly split last year.
The showbiz duo, who were married for more than a decade, announced they made the 'difficult decision' to part ways in July 2021 but vowed to always be a 'loving family'. The two stars still live together at their home in Cheshire as they continue to co-parent their three children, twins Penelope and Leo, 10, and six-year-old Felicity - though Christine was recently seen checking out houses.
The Take Me Out host, 50, is believed to be single and is prioritising parenthood over dating. In October, Paddy was forced to make a surprise exit from Channel 4's Don't Look Down for Stand Up To Cancer as he needed to rush home to be with his kids and ex Christine.
"Unfortunately today I've got to go home and I might not be back for at least a week. Co-parenting... We've no one at all to help us with the kids. With our children, they need me or Christine there or people who are in our support network. I'll have a hell of a lot of catching up to do when I get back," he said.
Just hours after the episode aired, Christine appeared to take a swipe at her ex. She said on her Instagram stories: "Just hold on a minute. Wow! I just read some absolute bull**** . I mean, I'm like yeah. Speechless, mind blown - not shocked. But I will just sit here and keep my dignified silence. What a load of shite."
'I'm spending £20k on a new bathroom - but won't help my brother out with cash'It came months after a source told Closer magazine the pair were getting on well and remained close living within the same four walls. "Paddy's always said that whatever happens, he'll never stop loving Christine. And while they're no longer in a romantic relationship, they are still very close and he just wants what's best for her," the source said in August.
The source continued: "While they know that continuing to live together might seem unconventional, it works for them and it has brought them closer together. She'll always be the mother of his children and he just wants her to be happy, so seeing Christine in such a good place and so full of life gives him a sense of peace and contentment that has helped him in his process of moving on too."
Paddy reportedly wants to focus on their "new family dynamic" and he and Christine will continue to "navigate their marriage breakdown as peacefully and lovingly as possible" - but he also hopes to meet someone soon. While Christine is said to still love Paddy and sees him as her "acting husband", as they maintain a united front for their kids, she is also reportedly "loving the freedom of not being tied down", a pal told OK! magazine.
Announcing their surprise split in a joint statement last summer, the former couple, who were married for 11 years, said: "A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children. This was not an easy decision to make but we're moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children. We'll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together."
