The new Lego Fortnite mode is coming to Fortnite this week along with over 1,200 Lego Outfits that see iconic Fortnite characters get a brick makeover.

A new Lego mode is on the way in Fortnite, coming this Thursday, December 7. The Lego Fortnite mode joins the all-new Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival game modes – all of these new game modes are dropping this week, on different days. Epic Games is absolutely piling free content on players with Fortnite Chapter 5: Underground, and you can get the highlights of what's new in the Fortnite Chapter 5 patch notes.

As well as the Fortnite Lego skins detailed below, you can also sign up to Lego Insiders to bag yourself the free Lego Insiders Fortnite skin Explorer Emilie, so be sure to do that and it'll be ready inside your Locker when the Lego Fortnite mode goes live. The official blog post goes into detail about what Fortnite players can expect when the Lego mode makes its debut, and how they can access these Minifig variants of classic Fortnite skins.

How to get Fortnite Lego skins

The good news is that the Fortnite Lego skins will cost you nothing outside of the cost of the original skin. If you already own a skin like Fishstick, you'll be granted access to Lego Fishstick for free. Once the Lego Fortnite release time arrives on Thursday, December 7, these Lego skins will automatically be added to your locker.

Going forward, you'll be able to check and see if a skin has a Lego version included, with Epic saying in the blog post: "To find Outfits that have a LEGO Style, check the Outfit’s detail page when browsing the Shop or your Locker. New LEGO Styles will be added to Fortnite often! Be sure to check your Locker to see if a higher detailed LEGO Style will be added in the future."

What Fortnite Lego skins are there?

Epic Games hasn't released a full list of Lego Fortnite skins at the time of writing. However, in the trailers we've seen for Fortnite Lego so far (including the one above), we can see some of the skins that will get the Lego treatment. All of Fortnite's most iconic original characters like Fishstick, Jonesy, Cuddle Team Leader, Evie, Peely, and Bush Ranger will be getting Lego variants.

Epic Games has noted that some Fortnite Lego skins are available in the mode but aren't fully ready yet, so for example Doggo is a Lego Minifig of the Doggo hoodie, but has a regular minifig head in a tan colour rather than having a dog head. But these are set to be updated to look more like their Fortnite skin counterparts in the future.

While the trailers haven't featured any of the countless third-party characters found in Fortnite, we know a few are set to arrive in the mode. Fortnite leakers @ShiinaBR and @HYPEX have found some new crossover Lego skins in the latest update. These Fortnite Lego crossover Skins include Lego Star Wars and Lego Marvel. The upcoming Fortnite x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover is also set to feature Fortnite Lego skins.

Here's a list of all the Fortnite Lego skins we've seen so far:

However, just because a Fortnite collab skin hasn't got a pre-existing Lego variant (Marvel, Star Wars, and TMNT all have Lego sets available in real life), that doesn't mean it won't eventually get a Fortnite Lego skin. For example, a Lego skin for Mr Beast has been found, and posted by @HYPEX on Twitter, which doesn't have a pre-existing Lego variant, so don't panic if your favourite Fortnite skin isn't available as a Fortnite Lego skin yet!
