A woman was left stunned after she found a familiar "face" staring back at her after she chopped up an onion for her meal.
Alice Palmer, from Ilkeston, said she burst into laughter after noticing it looked like a character from TV show, Bear in the Big Blue House, after purchasing the onion from her local Nisa shop in Kirk Hallam, Derbyshire. The 29-year-old made the incredible discovery after she placed the food into the frying pan and immediately clocked the round face which featured huge "eyes".
She says she used to watch the popular TV programme which ran from 1997 to 2006, and featured the cartoon moon with characteristically large eyes. The food truck owner, of Alice’s Hot Food, said she noticed the similarity straight away. “I just laughed when I saw it,” she recalled.
“It instantly reminded me of the old TV programme. I used to watch Bear in the Big Blue House.” She shared the snaps on Facebook, where hundreds of users liked the post. Eric Narvaez said: “I would’ve freaked!” “Haha!” said Kate Moss. “Aaaaw Luna!” said Mandy Jones.
Meanwhile, other people went viral sharing similar "faces" they found in their food. Maxine Chan found the face of Shrek in her ice cream tub, while Marina Jarvis was stunned to see a Minion cartoon character in her tub. Elsewhere, mum-of-three Chantelle Warrick noticed Michael Myers from Halloween imprinted on her hunter's chicken. The 45-year-old, from Devon, was left horrified after preparing her husband's favourite meal and spotting the villain's face.
