I'm A Celeb fans slam 'rude' Nigel Farage as he tells Josie Gibson to 'shut up'

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! took an awkward turn on Friday night when Nigel Farage told Josie Gibson to 'shut up'.

During the latest episode, the camp were told they had to vote for a new camp leader after a "number of rule breaks" and as a result Sam Thompson's reign had ended.

Farage read a laminate, which said: "There have been a number of rule breaks in camp. As a result, Sam’s reign as leader will end. Any further rule breaks could result in the camp losing stars."

He continued: "The next leader of the group will be chosen by a secret ballot. One by one please make your way up to the Bush Telegraph to cast your vote. As Sam has already been leader of the group, you cannot vote for him. When all the votes have been cast, the new leader will be announced. You must not discuss or reveal who you want to be the leader until the results have been declared."

While casting their votes, Josie said: "Do you think you're going to get chosen, Nige?" to which Farage snapped: "How much dinner do you want to eat Josie?" Josie was left confused as she responded: "What, what do you mean?"

Farage continued: "I'm just asking a question, I'm asking you how much dinner do you want to eat?" with a baffled Josie replying: "Quite a lot?"

Farage then snapped: "Well shut up then! Putting it bluntly." A confused Josie replied: "Are you actually alright?" Explaining his snapping, Farage said: "They've said if we do it again, they're going to dock stars!"

Josie then quipped: "Did I just get roasted by Nigel Farage? Jesus!" to which Farage read out the rules again, stating: "You must not discuss or reveal!"

Viewers were quick to slam Farage for his "rude" response to Josie. Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: "Nigel is actually so rude. Why did he tell Josie to shut up? #ImACeleb #ImACelebrity" while a different account put: "That was rude, Nigel. #ImACeleb."

Elsewhere, one show watcher said: "'Did I just get roasted by Nigel Farage?' Nah, he’s just being rude. Better ways to word that. #ImACeleb", a different account put: "Rude Nigel….. #ImACeleb" while another added: "That was so rude!! Ok she shouldn’t have asked but he could have been b****y nicer. #ImaCeleb!"
