Amber Gill has reportedly split from her girlfriend Jen Beattie after almost a year of dating.
The 2019 Love Island champion and the Arsenal football star are said to have 'grown apart' recently, sparking the pair to call an end to their romance. But it has been claimed they remain friends.
The former flames were first linked together in December last year. And their romance appeared to go from strength to strength as Amber attended Jen's Arsenal football matches to cheer her on and the pair enjoyed date nights together and posed on the red carpet at events.
However, it has now been claimed by the they are no longer an item – after they were last photographed together at the Pride of Britain Awards in October. They are said to remain on good terms as Amber still follows Jen on Instagram.
A source claimed to the Daily Mail: "Amber and Jen have decided to end their relationship.
Love Island's Haris spills on unaired row between Zara and Tanyel"They remain good friends and the split was amicable but they just grew apart after struggling to spend time together.
"There's still a lot of love between them and Amber will always hold a special place in her heart for Jen but ending their romance was the best decision for their lives right now."
The last photographs of Amber and Jen posted on Amber's Instagram account show the pair lovingly looking at one another while posing at the Grosvenor House Hotel during the Pride of Britain event. As she posted the loved-up snaps, Amber penned in the caption: "Pride of Britain Celebrating the people who really deserve all the recognition".
Hours before reports of their break-up emerged, Amber was seen partying the night away at a star-studded event. The Geordie lass shared snaps and videos from the Sol De Janeiro press event as she sipped on cocktails and partied with pals. One clip sees her smiling widely as she's cheered by fellow partygoers for swishing her hair while another sees her singing along to Amerie's song 1 Thing. Jen was not seen at the bash as she posted photos from the Spotify Wrapped event, instead.
Amber went on Love Island in 2019 and sparked a romance with Michael Griffiths before he brutally dumped her after his head turned in Casa Amor. She then went on to embark on a romance with Greg O'Shea in the villa – but things didn't last long between the pair after they won the series and scooped the £50,000 cash prize.
In the summer of last year, Amber shared on Twitter how she was ''switching teams" and it was "the best decision'', adding: "Watching men makes me feel ill. I couldn't put myself through it again." As speculation around what she meant about the post grew, she told The Sun in January this year: "I'm not ready to tell just yet, you know when you just want to keep things to yourself and then like, it’s real life, then you’ll tell everyone else."
She then proudly showcased her romance with Jen in March this year as they were photographed kissing after Jen played at the FA Women's Continental Tyres League Cup Final.
