Fortnite OG is winding down, and Chapter 5 leaks are already coming thick and fast with the next season's Battle Pass content revealing Family Guy and Metal Gear's Snake are on the way.

Chapter 4 of Fortnite has just given us a retrospective mini season with Fortnite OG, however, Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is about to give us another throwback as some Fortnite Chapter 5 Battle Pass leaks have shown that the Peter Griffin in Fornite rumours as part of a Family Guy crossover are finally coming true with the new battle pass. Thanks to the Xbox store jumping the gun, we have our first look at the Fortnite Chapter 5 Battle Pass (via @ShiinaBR on Twitter), which not only features the Griffin family patriarch, but Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid as well.

Peter Griffin in Fortnite has been a huge rumour in game's community for years now, first popping up way back in 2021 when data miner @GMatrixGames posted a Back Bling texture they found in the games files featuring clips from the show. As it turned out, these were placeholder files for the arcade Back Bling found in the Street Fighter collab that launched around that time.

But the community never gave up hope, as more and more clues trickled out across the seasons, including an Epic Games livestream where Twitter user @Top5Gamingx spotted files for 'Family Guy', 'Doom', and 'Vader' (with Doom Slayer showing up in Chapter 4 Season 1, and Star Wars' Darth Vader making an appearance in Chapter 3 Season 3).

Solid Snake hasn't been quite as big of a rumour as Peter Griffin in Fortnite, but his name has shown up a few times in Epic Games surveys (via @ShiinaBR), so his presence in the Fortnite Chapter 5 Battle Pass leaks isn't exactly out of nowhere.

Kept you waiting, huh?

With the likes of Ryu, Doomguy, Master Chief, and Jill Valentine in Fortnite already, Solid Snake is a more than fitting entry into the game's canon. Plus it makes sense for Konami to want to reintroduce the character to a younger audience with Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 1 releasing recently, and Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (which doesn't feature Solid Snake, but I digress) presumably coming next year.

As for Peter Griffin in Fortnite, it's nice for the community to finally get closure on what is probably the longest-running rumour about the game ever. Although I imagine the Peter Griffin in Fortnite Chapter 5 Battle Pass leaks just means the community will just move onto another character to meme into existence. My bets are on Walter White from Breaking Bad.
