A veteran star of reality TV, Made in Chelsea's Sam Thompson is already making quite an impression in the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! camp.
His appointment as new camp leader sparked controversy, with fellow campmate Tony Bellew taking issue with the decision, blasting Sam as being 'not a good decision maker'. Meanwhile, further mayhem erupted after a deadly snake was spotted slithering by Sam's bed in the dead of night, with rangers rushing to remove it.
Away from the jungle, the 31-year-old TV personality has also had to navigate plenty of drama in his personal life, from his attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) diagnosis to his heartbreak over girlfriend Zara McDermott's affair. In the documentary Is This ADHD?, which was aired earlier this year, Sam opened up about his lifelong struggles with inattention, disorganisation, and hyperactivity, with his diagnosis helping him to understand himself better.
Sam shared: "As I got older it became more apparent when life got more serious, things started unravelling and I needed a read on myself. ADHD is a blessing and a curse, but it is the hyper-focus eliminate of it, when I get hyper-focused on something I enjoy, I love it, I love this industry."
Sam has been with his girlfriend Zara McDermott since early 2019. They briefly split in 2020 when Zara confessed to cheating on him with music industry executive Brahim Fouradi while appearing on The X Factor: Celebrity.
TOWIE's Chloe Brockett makes cheeky dig at Saffron Lempriere during filmingHeartbroken Sam went on to forgive Zara, admitting he had also been unfaithful to girlfriends in the past. He said: "She was 22… You know when you look at them and you go: 'She ain't going to do that again?' I could see in her face. You can just tell when someone has a beautiful heart and a beautiful soul."
Four years on and the couple are happier than ever. Zara, 26, appeared on this year's series of BBC Strictly Come Dancing, reaching week six with dancer Graziano Di Prima. Sam and Zara had vowed not to succumb to the so-called "Strictly curse" and when she lost out in a dance-off to soap star Adam Thomas, Sam gushed in a video message: "'What you've achieved, is so admirable, I love you."
