Ask most tattoo artists what sort of design they always advise their clients to avoid, and the majority will say anything to do with a partner. Matching tattoos, initials, names - even a star sign can cause instant regret if the relationship fails.
However, it seems one man has never heard of this advice after his tattoo artist revealed she inked on his girlfriend’s ‘bite mark’ in permanent ink over his bicep. Sharing the appointment on social media, Betty Zoo Tattoo in Copenhagen revealed how the process had worked.
In order to get the authenticity of the bite, the girlfriend was seen to wrap her chops around his arm there and then. The tattooist then drew over the marks before they faded and then set to work inking them onto his skin.
After watching the unusual branding, viewers flocked to the comments section to share their horror. One person wrote: “this is foul.” Someone else joked: “Plz tell me how you explained this to ur mother”. A third user suggested it was something Netflix stalker and serial killer Joe Goldberg would do, writing: “This has Joe Goldberg from YOU all over it.”

One person enthused: “Wait I feel like this is lowkey cute.” Someone else penned: “my bf sent me this and I thought it was cute then I read the comments and felt stupid for liking it.” A third person admitted: “fr I was like damn that’s romantic.”
Others shared their concern and stories of their own tattoo regrets. One person admitted: “my ex did this of my lips to apologize for cheating and I still dumped him right after.” A second joked: “I’d be so pressed if my bf had his exs bite mark on him.”
Earlier this month Ana Stanskovsky revealed on TikTok that she was going to get the name of her boyfriend - Kevin - tattooed across her forehead. Sitting back in the tattoo artist's chair, she declared: "Let's do it!".
When she originally uploaded the video, Ana stated that it was real: "Yes, it's real. I can't even believe it myself that I did it. I know it's a little bit crazy. But I like to express my feelings, and I think if you really love someone you should be able to show it off." She also said she was "sick and tired" of everyone on social media telling her it was fake.
However, she has now admitted that it was all fake - and the reason she did it was because she does have regrets about another tattoo, and doesn't want anyone else to go through the same. Posting another video to social media, where she wiped off the name Kevin from her forehead, she explained: "All I want to say is that I regret my tattoo...but not this one."
After pointing to her forehead, Ana continued: "Because this is not actually a real tattoo. I want everyone to know that I regret my tattoos and you might regret yours when you get older."
