Eminem is making his Fortnite debut this week, both with a series of skins as well as an in-game concert – which hasn't been officially confirmed just yet, but Epic has teased enough for us to put the pieces together to figure out when it kicks off.
Update: Epic Games has confirmed that it's adding two more showings of The Big Bang because of long queue time
Original story:Fortnite is on the cusp of Chapter 5 and has done things a little differently in the wind down of Chapter 4 with Fortnite OG. The mini-season – which will have spanned just four weeks over the course of November – is ending with The Big Bang live event this Saturday, December 2 after serving up players a healthy portion of nostalgia; Fortnite OG has seen classic POIs return as well as vehicles, weapons, and more unvaulted as we revisit Chapter 1 of the Battle Royale mode which launched in early access in 2017.
The retrospective theme works well in this incredibly short-lived season because it's been a hot minute since we've had a Fortnite live event as well. And we're all for bringing back the best of the game. While Epic has been pretty stingy with the details of the event, between the publisher's hints and the stable of reliable leakers sharing details, we can put together a decent idea of when the Eminem concert in Fornite is taking place.
The Fortnite Eminem skins will go live a few days before The Big Bang live event and the Eminem concert, and you can buy them in the Item Shop this week, from Wednesday, November 29 . There'll be a solid handful to choose from as part of the Icons Series, showcasing Slim Shady's signature looks (and Epic's spin on them) over the course of his career.
Why Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's six week delay is a good thingThere's also The Big Bang Loading Screen featuring Eminem, as well as the Marshall Magma variant of one of the skins for attending the live event and, presumably, the Eminem concert in Fortnite.
In terms of what time the Eminem concert in Fornite starts, past concerts including Ariana Grande's Rift Tour, Travis Scott's gig, and the Marshmello concert have all started at the outset of the the events they've been a part of, at the time Epic laid out.
So in this instance, we expect players to be queueing for the show up to half an hour before the Eminem concert in Fortnite starts at 7pm GMT / 2pm EST / 11am PST on Saturday, December 2 – the same time we've been given for the start of The Big Bang live event.
Servers will go offline a couple hours beforehand. You should hop in between 30-60 minutes ahead of time to make sure you're in-game when the Fortnite live event pops up on the Discover tab. This is usually half an hour before a live event kicks off. You can queue in parties of up to four, so be sure to reserve your space, and don your Eminem skins if you've bought any.
The Eminem concert in Fortnite was confirmed by leakers last week, with @ShiinaBR tweeting out the main image for the event which is very much concert-themed. They added "No need to freak out, it's not just a concert.," so there's definitely a concert happening. Epic has teased as much with the official artwork, and there are a ton of other activities rumoured so Shiina seems to be on the money.
