A new serialisation of Omid Scobie's bombshell royal book Endgame claims that an 'overworked' King Charles avoided meeting up with Prince Harry while he was in London earlier this year.
As per this explosive upcoming biography, King Charles did not respond to a desperate 'meeting request' from his youngest son, and instead ordered "an assistant to get rid of him with the excuse that he was 'overworked'".
By this point, communications had already become strained, with the father and son having reportedly barely exchanged two words over the phone the Christmas before. Three weeks after the meeting request was turned down, Prince Harry announced the publication of his autobiography Spare, reportedly leaving his father in a state of shock.
This is according to new serialisation of Royal writer Scobie's eagerly anticipated latest book, serialised in French magazine Paris Match. In Endgame, subtitled "Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy's Fight for Survival", Scobie, who co-authored the Sussexes' biography Finding Freedom, "pulls back the curtain on an institution in turmoil" in an attempt to "show what the monarchy must change in order to survive".

The rejection allegedly occurred just three weeks before Prince Harry announced the publication of his autobiography (AFP via Getty Images)Endgame was originally due to be published in August, however, the date was pushed back so as to include events surrounding the King's Coronation. It will now be published on November 28. Publisher HarperCollins previously said that the book will "have the world talking", with Scobie stating that it will reveal moments royals should be "ashamed of".

Chapter headings include: 'Shaky Ground: The Queen is Dead, the Monarchy Faces Trouble', 'The Fall of Prince Andrew: Scandal, Shame and Silencing Jane Doe', 'Race and the Royals: Institutional Bigotry and Denial', 'Gloves On: Prince William, Heir to the Throne', and 'Gloves Off: Prince Harry, Man on a Mission'.
A US publishing source said: "The word is this is going to have bombshell after bombshell. Some are even speculating it may name the person who questioned what colour Archie's skin would be. Everyone knows Omid is the Sussexes' unofficial mouthpiece, so it's fair to say there will be a huge deal of interest in this book on both sides of the Atlantic."
