A contestant from Squid Game: The Challenge revealed it took seven hours to film the iconic game, Red Light, Green Light.
The spin-off competition is based on the hit Korean series, Squid Game, and follows the same challenges without the fatal consequences. Just like the series, a total of 456 contestants take part in order to compete for the unbelievable grand prize of £3.66million.
Some of the challenges include Red Light, Green Light, Honeycombs and Hopscotch. The games, which were filmed in London's Wharf Studios, were difficult for many contestants as it 'felt real'. Lorenzo Nobilio, 26, opened up about what it was like taking part in the terrifying games.
"It felt like it was real - it didn't feel like you were in a fictional place," he said. Out of all the games, Red Light, Green Light was the hardest game to get through and took a whopping seven hours to complete.

When 'green light' is called out, the contestants have to inch closer to the finish line in order to be deemed safe.

In the game show, the contestants are taken out of the game by radio-controlled dye instead. Speaking about the hours-long experience, Lorenzo added to the BBC: "I made it past the line in seven hours, that was a very long time, but it's called Squid Game: The Challenge, it's not an all-inclusive holiday in the Canary Islands."

A TV critic for The Guardian praised the show as one of the 'most gripping reality TV series since The Traitors'. They said: "The real-life version of the Netflix drama is a grandiose, addictive spectacle that will have you shouting at your TV before the end of episode one. Squid Game: The Challenge not only works but may turn out to be the most gripping reality TV since The Traitors."
And The Telegraph said the reality TV show "loses none of the tension or intrigue." It added:"With money at stake, rather than life itself, some of the cooped-up politicking in the middle episodes smacks wearily of Big Brother. Other passages of play lean too heavily on popularity contests. But by the final few episodes the tension, intrigue and antagonism are bubbling to the boil. I’ve seen eight of the 10 episodes and am agog to discover how ruthless the last dollar-driven survivors can be."
