Passing the pad will become a thing of the past when you pick a second Xbox Wireless Controller for this generous Black Friday discount at Amazon.

There’s arguably no better time to hoover up any long-desired video game accessories than in the ongoing Black Friday 2023 sales. Everything from SSDs, headphones and gaming chairs are sure to have their prices steeply drop in honour of the big day. Before then, however, Amazon has already proved itself to making the lives of Player 2s easier with a deep discount available on the official Xbox Wireless Controller. Better yet, said discount is available on multiple colours, so there’s guaranteed to be one suited to your tastes.

The standard RRP for an Xbox Wireless controller here in the UK is £54.99 – a big investment just to play local co-op games, at the best of times. Amazon has done players who own Microsoft’s current-gen console a solid by reducing the price to a more than palatable £38.99 for the standard Robot White colour SKU.

This same 30% saving also translates to several of the other colours such as Astral Purple, Deep Pink, Pulse Red and Electric Volt, all of which have the typically higher RRP of £59.99. However, in honour of Black Friday 2023, each has also now been brought down to below £40. It’s hard to imagine the price of an Xbox Wireless Controller getting any lower than this as we enter the holiday season.

Two to tango

With several great co-op games to play with friends and family on Xbox consoles already, there’s never a bad time to pick up a second gamepad. Because while the majority of games people play together these days are online PvP such as Overwatch and Fortnite, heading into the Christmas season marks the perfect time to reconnect by playing on the same screen. Plus, once you’ve picked up a second Xbox Series X|S Wireless Controller, you’re set for the rest of that console’s lifecycle.

Speaking of which, the Xbox Series X itself is subject to major discounts (also at Amazon) as part of Black Friday 2023. For everything you need to get started, plus a major release like Modern Warfare 3 and Diablo 4 built-in, you’ll be able to save a whole bunch more than if you were to purchase at most other points in the year. The 30% discount on the Xbox Series X|S Wireless Controller only makes entering this ecosystem – if you haven’t already – an even more enticing prospect.
