A prison has been rocked by a sex scandal after its sneaky employees were exposed for allegedly engaging in orgies and even having sex on shift.

A dozen workers at Lantin Prison near Liege, Belgium, are at the centre of the shocking allegations, which go as far as to claim that staff frequently organised sex meet-ups after they clocked out of work. The sex-crazed colleagues are said to have romped in a hot tub owned by one of the employees, labelled only as "P", during some of their heated sessions.

Staff involved in the alleged parties are said to have picked coloured bracelets at random to help them decide who they would sleep with. It was reported that a senior member of staff allowed a "nymphomaniac" employee, referred to as "S", to use his office so she could have sex with other people during the working day, according to reports from Sudinfo.

An anonymous source said: "From 6am, she would let it be known that if she didn't have sex, she wouldn't be able to work." The same source claimed many employees were confused as to how S had been hired in the first place as she reportedly had a brother who was serving time in the same jail where she worked. The prisoner is understood to have been jailed for murder." They added: "She used to come to see him every day as a visitor, being very friendly with the families of the detainees in the waiting room. She was very arrogant and haughty with the agents who were watching the visiting room. Her admission to Lantin, at the time, was a [shock], especially since, as a visitor for a year, she passed overnight to prison officer."

S's brother has now been moved to Huy Prison, about 32km southwest of Lantin. S has reportedly been assigned to the prison's women's ward in an attempt to "calm her sexual urges", while P has been banned from entering the women's part of the prison after it was discovered he was having sex with an inmate there. A spokesperson for Belgium's Federal Public Service Justice Department told the Daily Star: "On Monday morning we were informed there was a problem in the prison by the media. We asked the local prison governor to do an internal investigation. It is going on at this time and there is a possibility there may be disciplinary action. We cannot say any more as the investigation is ongoing."
