David Cameron has been appointed as Foreign Secretary following Rishi Sunak’s major Cabinet reshuffle - and we want to know what YOU think of the news.
Seven years after leaving office, the former Prime Minister has been handed the significant role in the hope that he would help deliver the "change" the country needs. The appointment comes after Mr Sunak finally sacked Suella Braverman as Home Secretary yesterday morning (November 13), following her criticism of the Metropolitan Police and comments about homeless people.
Cameron has replaced James Cleverly, who has taken over from Braverman in a move intended to repair relationships with senior police officers and reassure Tory MPs. The now Lord Cameron had been out of Parliament since he stood down as PM in 2016 in the wake of the Brexit referendum.
The former Tory leader was given a place in the House of Lords so he could take the £104,360-a-year job without voters getting a say. Downing Street has confirmed that Mr Cameron would no longer take his prime ministerial allowance and would not take the daily allowance given to other peers.
Posting a statement on X, Cameron wrote: "Though I may have disagreed with some individual decisions, it is clear to me that Rishi Sunak is a strong and capable Prime Minister, who is showing exemplary leadership at a difficult time. I want to help him to deliver the security and prosperity our country needs and be part of the strongest possible team that serves the United Kingdom and that can be presented to the country when the General Election is held."

Since leaving No10, Lord Cameron has faced criticism over his attempts to make money, including his role as an adviser to the now collapsed Greensill. Posting online after the announcements, Mr Sunak penned: "Today we have built a united team ready to deliver the changes this country needs for the long term."
Labour's Pat McFadden said: "A few weeks ago Rishi Sunak said David Cameron was part of a failed status quo, now he’s bringing him back as his life raft. This puts to bed the Prime Minister's laughable claim to offer change from 13 years of Tory failure." Mr Sunak has faced anger from his backbenchers as Andrea Jenkyns became the first Tory MP to publicly submit a letter of no confidence in him.
She wrote: “Enough is enough. If it wasn't bad enough that we have a party leader that the party members rejected, the polls demonstrate that the public reject him.
