Meghan Markle is keen to spend Christmas with her Hollywood friends after receiving invites amid confirmation the Duke and Duchess wouldn't be returning to the UK to spend it with the Royal Family.
The former Suits actress has been "desperate" to fix the couple's reputation in the States after a Family Guy episode mocking them was aired. Now, as Meghan's Montecito pals invite them to spend Christmas with their families, the Duchess is "eager" to attend rather than spending the day with Prince Harry 's best pal.
“Harry has been invited along with Meghan and their children, Archie and Lilibet, to join Charlie van Straubenzee's family during the festive season," the source began. "They have home in London and Lincolnshire. Charlie is Harry's best friend and also Archie's godfather and the pair have recently grown closer again following a distant few years when Harry first moved over to America.”

Sources have claimed the episode was an "outrageous slur" as well as being unfair and has left them feeling like "they're not being taken seriously by people." They reportedly feel like "they can't catch a break" after being caught in the "attack from inside Hollywood."
They revealed the "savage attack" from the Family Guy episode has "made it crystal clear that the tides have turned against them in America" and Meghan isn't having it. The insider told Closer: "Meghan said she won't be humiliated like this and is desperate for a solution.
"They're in full panic mode. What's hit them hardest and cuts the deepest of all is that it plays up the whole notion they're self-entitled grifters or spoilt brats."
