Jorgie Porter shares angry reaction to 'sick' attempted burglary

Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter has opened up about a recent burglary attempt at her home that left her feeling 'vulnerable' and 'annoyed'.

The 35-year-old, best known for playing Theresa McQueen on the E4 soap, revealed last month that intruders had tried to break into the Cheshire house she shares with fiancé Oliver and their baby son, Forest.

She even released CCTV footage of the attempted raid on her social media, after being advised by police that it could help to identify and arrest the culprits. Jorgie told her fans that the scary incident had made her "really upset", before adding that the suspects had clearly strategized their crime. "They came over the gate. Obviously it's been planned because all the cables have been cut," she said. "The Wi-Fi has been cut in the area. Our alarm was taken off the wall. They've really planned it. Sick."

Dancing on Ice star Jorgie has now shared more details about the unsettling event, which left her partner Ollie Piotrowski so frightened he was unable to sleep in the aftermath. "Everyone has a burglary story and I felt vulnerable and annoyed I felt like, "how dare they?"' she told the Mail Online.

She continued: "We’ve really upped our security now and gone to the levels of full protection. The thing is when you’ve got kids that’s when you’re like "absolutely not". It was very scary.' "'It's been a process trying to feel safe again in the house. I didn't sleep for the first four or five nights it's taken time, but it comes back," Oliver added.

Jorgie bought the sprawling home with the managing director in July 2021, before renovating it into a stunning modern property complete with a kitchen island, a chandelier and a wet room. After sharing the update that she'd been nearly burgled, Jorgie expressed her gratitude to the police for their speedy response.

"I also want to say thank you to the police for turning up really quick last night and how many there were because it actually made us feel a bit safe. But I'm just so angry. Why would people want to come in? It's just so upsetting. I hope nobody is put in this position because it's really horrible."

As for the intruders, Jorgie said, "I hope they all just get what's coming to them." In the CCTV footage shared by the I'm A Celebrity star, two masked men with torches can be seen sneaking around the garden towards the house, before suddenly running away.

Jorgie and Oliver became the proud parents to baby Forest in January, after suffering tragedy with the loss of their quadruplets two years ago 14 weeks into the pregnancy.
