Megan McKenna has been taken to hospital, she announced.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star took to Instagram to share the update with her 3 million followers just days after she revealed she was recovering from a procedure. The 31-year-old says she was left in severe pain which left her unable to move following the routine procedure. She didn't disclose what the procedure was.
Her hospitalisation came four days after the procedure. Megan said: "Hello, I know I told you all I was recovering last week, I had a small procedure in my belly last Monday which has lead to some complications inside... It's very painful & so uncomfortable to move. It got worse Thursday and was admitted to hospital Friday.

Miss cooking my dinners and sharing with you all. Just need some good energy put out for me please so I can be better to put up my tree and cook cute winter dinners."
In recent weeks, Megan has been hit by a string of setbacks after being left with burns to her face following an incident involving gravy. Taking to her Instagram, the country singer shared a video as she spoke directly to fans about the marks on her face.

She said: "So before you freak - I've had a bit of an accident as you can see. On the weekend I was at my mum's and we were having dinner and she walked over with the gravy pot. Daisy (the dog) got underneath her feet, she tripped over Daisy, and grabbed the gravy pot but the gravy inside flopped out and landed on my head.
"Honestly, you can't even write it. It's obviously caught the side of my face. It looks so much better now, it's in the healing process, so it's a little bit rank. It's on my nose. I've got a huge blister behind my ear. My ear feels like it's hanging off." She went on to explain that her mum instantly leapt into action and was spraying her with water for "half an hour"
Despite the scarring, Megan stepped out at the Mirror's Pride of Britain Awards and looked every inch the star as she posed on the red carpet. She rocked a corset mini dress alongside a see-through skirt which flowed down into a train, paired with glove-styled sleeves.
