Nigel Farage is heading for the I’m A Celebrity jungle with his political party Reform UK more than a million pounds in debt.

The most recent accounts for the right-wing organisation show net liabilities of £1,106,050 including director loans, according to Companies House records released in September. Last year, the former Brexit Party faced a winding-up petition and potential liquidation due to a dispute over £22,000 owed to a Scottish advertising firm.

Reform UK’s current debt comes despite accounts stating it received nearly £3million in donations in 2020. Now Mr Farage, 59, is said to have signed a deal with ITV worth £1.5million to appear on the reality show in Australia, which kicks off this month.

The deal was brokered by 2017 winner Georgia Toffolo ’s talent company, The Visionary Talent Agency, and ITV producers reckon Mr Farage will ensure another hit series following disgraced former Health Secretary Matt Hancock ’s turn.

Speaking on his GB News show last year, Mr Farage said: “I’ve been approached several times by I’m a Celebrity and I’ve always ruled it out. I thought it’s all rather humiliating. But I suppose you can never ever say never.” Meanwhile, he is seeking “millions” in damages from NatWest after former chief Dame Alison Rose discussed his banking arrangements with a BBC journalist amid his debanking row.

Mr Farage said on X, formerly Twitter, on Friday that he was “instructing lawyers” and told Sky News yesterday the state-backed bank and its ex-boss must be “held to account”. Dame Alison is missing out on £7.6m in bonuses and share awards in her exit package as a result of the row.
