Amazon Prime members can now stream thousands of anime titles with a new channel on Prime Video. Crunchyroll – the world’s largest streaming library of anime – and Prime Video announced that they have entered into a global agreement to distribute the Crunchyroll subscription service on Prime Video.
Billed as “the ultimate home for anime worldwide,” Crunchyroll’s library boasts 24,000 hours, 46,000 episodes, and more than 1,300 series and films translated for viewers worldwide. What’s more, the 24/7 Crunchyroll linear channel is also available now for free with ads on Amazon Freevee, featuring a catalogue of fan-favourite anime.
New Crunchyroll subscribers can enjoy the massive autumn anime season with more than 50 new titles, including the fantasy adventure series Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, the long-running swashbuckling epic One Piece, the action-packed Jujutsu Kaisen and all four seasons of post-apocalyptic smash Attack on Titan. The Sony-owned entertainment company serves anime and manga fans in more than 200 countries and territories around the world.

Prime members can choose from two Crunchyroll membership tiers: Fan or Mega Fan. The Fan plan costs £4.99 a month and allows customers to stream the entire Crunchyroll library ad-free, while enjoying new episodes shortly after release in Japan.
Mega Fan comes in at £5.99 a month and has the same benefits with the added ability to download content and watch it on the go. Prime Video has said that additional non-video benefits will be added to the Mega Fan plan shortly after launch.
Both Crunchyroll plans begin with a seven-day free trial, meaning anime lovers can access the huge library for an entire week without paying a penny.
