Brewdog owner James Watt has taken a playful jab at celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, claiming his chain makes better burgers.

The cheeky dig was displayed on a massive LED screen outside the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, where BrewDog boasts an impressive 4.6-star food rating compared to Gordon's 4.3. The message read: "Best British burger in Vegas (sorry Gordon)." Gordon has yet to respond to the friendly taunt.

BrewDog Las Vegas, with its whopping 96 beer taps and diverse menu, has been praised by customers. One visitor said: "This place is a gem in not just Las Vegas Strip, but in the whole of Las Vegas, especially for a beer lover." Another added: "Arrived for happy hour, nice table overlooking the strip, lovely waiter."

Gordon owns five restaurants around the iconic strip including Gordon Ramsay Steak, Fish and Chips, Pub and Grill, Burger, and Hell's Kitchen. His restaurant also received glowing reviews, with one fan writing: "Great experience. I was fortunate enough to get a window seat with a great view of the strip. Service was excellent, attentive, friendly and engaging."

Another customer praised: "The food was delicious and the service excellent." However, Gordon has not yet responded to BrewDog's cheeky jibe. Meanwhile, earlier this year, fans were furious when they discovered the price of a burger and chips meal at one of Gordon's restaurants.

He opened a new gaff in Harrods, London, called Gordon Ramsay Burger and expected customers to pay £48.45 for a simple burger and chips. The luxury department store has billed the homemade lamb patty - complete with harissa aioli and feta cheese - as the "flavour of the month", but the cost of the grub has left a bad taste in customers' mouths.

The burger, which was only available in June, cost a whopping £35 on its own - but fries with ketchup are £8.50 extra. Discovering the price of Gordon's latest offering, one customer tweeted: “Thirty-five pounds?!" While another used one of his famous catchphrases and quipped: “Looks raw.”

Meanwhile, a former disgruntled diner mused: “I hope the burger has improved" as someone else piped up: “Lost me at the feta cheese.” Elsewhere on the menu, Gordon charged £27.50 for a Hell’s Kitchen Burger and a not too shabby £12.50 for the Hell’s Kitchen Junior Burger.

A milkshake costs a whopping £13.50. His restaurant's website read: “A taste of America, without the trans-Atlantic trip; the first Gordon Ramsay Burger restaurant outside of Las Vegas has touched down in Knightsbridge, and as you’d expect from Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay, these are not your average quarter-pounders.

“Enjoy it all with a dessert shake, blended with a creamy pudding for a truly decadent, too-thick-for-a-straw treat. If there’s ever a time to indulge, it’s at Gordon Ramsay Burger."
