Players who've pre-ordered a digital version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will get campaign early access. Here's exactly when you can start playing the iconic single-player mode.

The wait for the latest Call of Duty title is almost over, with Modern Warfare 3 launching later this month on November 10 in what is, for the first time in the history of Activision's behemoth FPS series, a direct sequel to the previous game in the series, Modern Warfare 2. But for those who want to jump into the single-player campaign, and have pre-ordered a digital version of the game, I've got some good news for you, as you'll get over seven days of Modern Warfare 3 campaign early access, which features new Hitman-style, flexible Open Combat missions.

Here's the Modern Warfare 3 campaign early access release time for PS5, Xbox and PC.

Activision has confirmed via a blog post that Modern Warfare 3 campaign early access will go live at 5pm GMT / 1pm EDT / 10am PDT on Thursday, November 2, with campaign early access launching simultaneously on PlayStation, Xbox and PC (Battle.net and Steam).

Modern Warfare 3 preload is also available for all platforms, with players given 24 hours to get the single-player campaign downloaded. Be warned, however, that this will include you having to download Call of Duty HQ too, unless you played the Modern Warfare 3 beta a few weeks ago, in which case you should already have that downloaded. And you'll probably need most of that 24-hour preload time too, particularly given the rather large Modern Warfare 3 campaign file size.

If you haven't managed to secure a Modern Warfare 3 pre-order yet, then you won't be able to preload or play campaign early access, and the same applies if you've pre-ordered a physical edition too. But, if you do pre-order the latest Call of Duty title between Thursday and November 10, you'll be able to play the campaign straight away, before the launch of the full game. So there's still time.

Multiplayer will be available at the game's launch on November 10, but players will have to wait until December to be able to jump into the latest iteration of Warzone, with the new Urzikstan map set to give players major Verdansk vibes.
