With the next Call of Duty entry now on the cusp of release, Activision has broken down what system requirements your PC needs to get the game running smoothly.
Following constant rumours earlier this year that we might not see a Call of Duty release in 2023 at all, we’re finally teetering on the edge of Modern Warfare 3’s arrival. And while the game doesn’t officially launch on PlayStation, Xbox and PC until November 10, 2023, those who have opted into the early access release will be able to get started as soon as Thursday. If you plan on playing on PC, you’ll likely be curious about the specific Modern Warfare 3 PC system requirements, which Activision has now helpfully revealed.
As per a blog post on the official Call of Duty website, the leap between 2022’s Modern Warfare 2 and this year’s sequel isn’t huge. Even on the Recommended settings, not a whole lot is asked of your graphics card and CPU. If anything’s the killer it’s the amount of SSD space you’ll need to clear. Because, similar to the 140GB storage space requirements on PS5, Modern Warfare 3’s PC system requirements similarly eat up a lot of room on PC.
Anyway, if you want to know for certain how much SSD space you need or whether you’ll be able to run Call of Duty’s latest on the highest settings, here’s the complete breakdown of Modern Warfare 3 PC system requirements in advance of the game’s early access launch tomorrow.
Regardless of the Modern Warfare 3 PC requirements you end up settling on, Activision and Sledgehammer Games also make known that your sound card must be DirectX-compatible. Overall, though, there’s nothing too taxing expected to run the game decently, especially compared to the Alan Wake 2 PC requirements, which had some players fearing for their wallets. We’ll know for sure how well Modern Warfare 3 runs on PC later this week during early access.
