David Schwimmer was pictured arriving at his apartment in New York City on Sunday, just one day after the tragic death of his Friends co-star Matthew Perry.

Matthew, best known for his role as Chandler Bing in the hit sitcom, was found unresponsive in his hot tub on Saturday at his home in the Pacific Palisades region of Los Angeles. He was found by his assistant, who alerted first responders and a team arrived to find the actor dead at the scene. Matthew was just 54 years old when he died.

David, who played Ross Geller in Friends, was seen wearing a casual outfit as he arrived at his home in NYC. He was later snapped flashing a peace sign to photographers as he received a takeout order.

He was later seen leaving his Manhattan home alongside his ex-wife Zoë Buckman. None of the Friends cast have shared tributes for Matthew since his death, but sources have claimed they're currently working on a joint statement.

David, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow are said to be "reeling" following the death of their close friend. The source said they feel as though they have "lost a brother".

Kinsley Schofield explained that the co-stars believe Matthew's death is "incredibly unfair". She said: "New information is that the core cast of Friends is currently working on a joint statement they can release.

"According to sources they are reeling about the death of Matthew Perry, they say that he was their brother, and that they fiercely protected him through some of his toughest times. They believe that this is incredibly unfair, according to one of Lisa Kudrow’s friends, and no one saw this coming because they felt like he was in a really good place that he had one of his best years. ‌He was so quick witted, the sarcasm was just so brilliant and he was handsome."

Speaking to GB News, Kinsley added that Matthew was "the soul of that show". She also said Matthew's friends were happy to see him "in a good place mentally and physically" before his untimely death.
