The Paragon Board has undergone a major change as part of Diablo 4’s forthcoming update, letting you walk back character perks and skills.

The Diablo 4 Season 2 ship is still on rocky seas ever since the new season’s late launch a few weeks back. However, the latest Diablo 4 patch notes for update 1.2.1 hopes to make good with long-time players by introducing a feature that’s been wanted soon after Activision Blizzard’s game initially released: the ability to change and respec character skills in the endgame. This headline change will arrive as soon as Tuesday, October 31, alongside plenty of other balances and fixes.

Up until now, whenever players entered level 50 as part of the current season, they’d unlock what’s called the Paragon Board containing skills that would remain set in stone when chosen. As per the official patch notes announcement, though, when update 1.2.1 does roll out across PlayStation, Xbox and PC, you’ll be able to walk back your undesired skills by selecting a new Refund All button. Sure, doing so will cost you gold, but Diablo 4 makes this easy enough to come by.

The other major new addition as part of Diablo 4 update 1.2.1 is the addition of a Training Dummy, which Activision Blizzard states will let players “test their mettle” against an unkillable enemy. Players will be able to test out their character’s abilities on just one of these dummies or multiple, at various difficulty levels. The patch notes fail to mention whereabouts the Training Dummy can be accessed, but it’s likely somewhere in one of Sanctuary’s main cities like Kyovashad.

Alongside these two big additions, the Diablo 4 patch notes for update 1.2.1 bring about the usual litany of bug fixes and tweaks. All of which should make Season of Blood far more palatable. Read on to find the full list of update 1.2.1’s patch notes.

Paragon Board

Developer’s Note:Players communicated that reworking all or most of their Paragon Points was a common occurrence. We've added this button to make it easier to do big respecs, along with the increases to Gold income from Whispers in Season of Blood.

Training Dummy

Players can test their mettle against a new inanimate and un-killable foe—the Training Dummy! The dummy is located in an underground room, the entrance can be found in Kyovashad. The training room contains a stash and the Training Dummy. Players can choose between attacking one Training Dummy or a small group of them, and dictate whether each Training Dummy is of Normal, Elite, or Boss monster difficulty.

Developer’s Note:This will be rewarded retroactively for any players that have already defeated Echo of Lilith. These players will receive the Mount upon logging in after installing Patch 1.2.1.

That just about does it for what is an extremely long list of patch notes. They won't take effect until Tuesday, October 31, as mentioned, meaning you'll have time to prepare ahead of time. It might be worth leaving some Paragon Board skills unassigned until update 1.2.1 arrives, therefore.
