Disgraced Matt Hancock has whined about being badly treated over his role in the Covid crisis.
Viewers will see the former Health Secretary’s shameless bleating on Sunday's episode of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. He moans: “I feel a sense of injustice at being… essentially accused of corruption, because that is what it boils down to. I’ve essentially given my professional life so far in public service and I know for a fact we did the right thing, and I didn’t benefit a drop from it.
"I was doing the best I could in difficult circumstances, and now I get a load of sh*t from it.” Last night families torn apart by the virus said Channel 4 should apologise for having him on the show. Becky Kummar, who lost her father Peter aged 77 in April 2020, told us: “For Matt Hancock to see himself as the victim is utterly abominable.”

"The fact that he is now trying to do everything he can to cash in on his terrible legacy, and genuinely thinks people should feel sorry for him, tells you everything you need to know about the sort of person he is.”

But Hancock – who denied having anything to do with that contract – adds on tonight’s programme: “What matters is what I think of myself and what the people I love and care about think of me, and what people I respect think of me.” Also on the show, Hancock is interrogated by a Liz Truss lookalike who swears and barks insults in his face as he stands there in his pants.
And the MP, paid £45,000 to be in the reality show, gets a battering from Love Island ’s Teddy Soares. Last year Hancock got £320,000 for ITV’s I’m A Celeb – leading the Tory party to suspend him.
