A woman has already won Halloween costume of the year as she shares the hilarious moment she gave her Uber driver the heebie-jeebies - when she dressed up as the iconic Sloth from “The Goonies.”
Olivia Wilson from Jackson Township, New Jersey, went all out with her incredible Halloween costume, which included detailed face-work to replicate Sloth’s famously lopsided face - with an eye halfway down the cheek. Her face was puffed out with plaster and a tuft of grey hair added on top to complete the realistic - and seriously unnerving - look.
After ordering her Uber to her Halloween soirée on October 20, Olivia realised it might be a good idea to warn him of her creepy dress-up. She texted him to warn: “Hello I’m in a Halloween costume lol is that okay.” Maybe he was expecting a ‘bloody’ t-shirt or creepy eye makeup - but it's unlikely the driver anticipated anything quite as lifelike as Olivia’s costume.

The vide, posted on Olivia’s TikTok (@wilsonolivia69), shows the Uber driving past twice as Olivia nervously hopes he won’t simply drive off. Thankfully, he realised Olivia was his ride - and paused outside the house.

She says to the driver: “I’m sure you’ve actually seen worse things…”, to which the driver, understandably, doesn’t respond. “Maybe not,” Olivia awkwardly laughs.
“Ay yai yai,” says the Uber driver, probably knackered after a long shift carting around Halloween partygoers. “Poor guy,” Olivia wrote, “I’m so sorry lmao,"
Wilson said of her costume: "I did my own special fx makeup when turning myself into the infamous Sloth from 'The Goonies'. This video captures my realisation that I would have to also take an Uber to the party in this costume… alone.
"It showcases my anticipation of the driver’s arrival and my inner dialogue on that ride,” she continued. "Disclaimer: I’m wearing heels because I wanted to set my Sloth costume apart from the rest and give him a little flare. The reason I chose to be Sloth for Halloween is that he has always been one of my favourite characters!"
Olivia finally arrived at the party - probably to the frightened shock of many partygoers - and shared pictures of her in full costume mingling with her pals. As if the face-work wasn’t enough, she now had four rotten teeth to add into the mix before she set foot inside.
Her pals grinned alongside her in the photos, with Olivia seeming to have fun at the party. She can be grateful that her friends could recognise her through what might be the Halloween costume of the year.
