Reality star Rosie Williams has issued a warning to sports presenter Laura Woods over her new relationship with Adam Collard - branding the Love Island hunk as 'toxic'.
The 32-year-old former lawyer was a contestant on ITV2's hit reality romance show back in 2018 where she coupled up with 27-year-old Adam - only for him to ditch her and couple with 26-year-old Zara McDermott. There was plenty of drama surrounding Adam's appearance as viewers and women's charities complained that he exhibited behaviour that amounted to "emotional abuse".
However, ITV deemed it appropriate to invite him back to the show in 2022 where he paired up with Paige Thorne, 26 - only for the pair to split weeks after the show ended amid accusations he had been unfaithful. Adam was back on screens this year as a contestant on E4's Celebs Go Dating where he embarked on a stormy romance with model Lottie Moss, 25, which ended with her branding him "manipulative" in the press.
Adam is now dating 36-year-old Sky Sports's presenter Laura - and they went public with their romance after she inadvertently shared a snap of them kissing online via Instagram. Now Rosie has warned Laura to be wary of Adam's notorious past.
She told the MailOnline that she was "shocked" to learn the pair were dating - after she was told of the romance through third parties as she actively avoids Adam on social media. She said: "Adam and I were short lived, and it was five years ago now but when he went back on Love Island the second time, I hoped that he didn't treat the girls the same way that he did with me and Zara McDermott... I hoped that he went on the show to find love as he said.
Love Island's Haris spills on unaired row between Zara and Tanyel"Unfortunately, the same toxic pattern in his behaviour emerged... People like to tell me things and again in Celebs Go Dating, the exact same routine carried through, so he really hasn't changed. His TV appearances speak for themselves!"
She went on to concede that Adam is "charming" and "seems really sincere" but added: "I just wonder if he means it this time with Laura because I would hate for somebody else to get hurt by him."
Rosie went on to predict that Adam feels he has met a “match” in Laura as she is smart, intelligent, well versed in sport, and has a successful career of her own.
Adam recently hit out at his exes while talking about his fledgling romance with Laura. In a barely hidden barb, he said: “I would never get in a relationship with someone at least at one point unless I thought they were The One.
“Some of the 'girlfriends' I've had , and I'm saying 'girlfriends' because they're not really girlfriends... they're just girls I've been on one date with, and then suddenly they're my girlfriend which puts a lot of pressure and stuff, because I would only say I've had three or four serious ones.”
