Bryson DeChambeau has led Paul Casey, Charles Howell III and Anirban Lahiri to an £11.5 million bonus after winning the LIV Golf Team Championship at Trump Doral in Miami on Sunday.

DeChambeau's Crushers took on the RangeGoats, Torque and the defending champions the 4Aces in the final of the three-day event. After two days of matchplay the final 18 holes of the season returned to stroke play, with the score of each team's four players combined.

And it was the Crushers who prevailed, as DeChambeau and co shot 11-under-par in the final round, to see off the RangeGoats by two shots in second place, whilst Torque finished third and the 4Aces fourth.

The 2023 champions kicked off their week in Saturday's semi-finals, after receiving a bye through the opening round thanks to their finish in the regular season. Their placed was booked in the Sunday finale after DeChambeau's team defeated Martin Kaymer's Cleeks 2-1 across their three matchplay clashes.

Their focus then returned to stroke play and it was captain DeChambeau who led from the front. With birdies hard to come by for the majority of the field, the former U.S. Open champion's big hitting served him well, as he birdied five of his first 11 holes to put the Crushers ahead.

The American was helped by teammate Lahiri too, who appeared to save some of his best golf for the season-finale, carding a bogey-free seven-under, which included an impressive eagle at the par-five eighth. Despite their lead, it was far from an easy finish for the Crushers, as the chasing RangeGoats piled on the pressure up the final stretch.

It was team captain Bubba Watson and LIV's individual champion Talor Gooch leading the way for the chasing pack, as they moved within three shots of the leaders with four holes to play. Amid the pressure though DeChambeau showed exactly why he was is one of LIV's very best, draining a 20-foot putt for birdie at the par-three 15th to move his team even closer to the title.

It appeared there was still one twist left in the tale though, as DeChambeau cannoned his tee shot on the drive-able par-four 15th over the green and the green-side hospitality tent. He eventually found his ball a long way past the stand in question, but in typical DeChambeau style played a superb shot back onto the blind green, before rolling in the putt to cap off a remarkable birdie.

Fortunately for the Crushers it was a much more straightforward finish for their captain, as DeChambeau parred the 17th before bogeying the final hole of the year under the Miami sunset to secure a two-shot victory over Watson's RangeGoats.
