Rebecca Loos has slammed David Beckham for bringing up their infamous affair in his highly one-sided Netflix documentary - only to then abandon any sense of responsibility for the event.
The 46-year-old Dutch model made headlines in 2004 when she claimed she had an affair with 48-year-old David the prior year - when she was working as his assistant in Madrid. The scandal rocked David’s marriage to 49-year-old wife Victoria - but he has always denied the affair took place.
This month, a documentary series about the Beckhams was aired via Netflix. Rebecca has slammed the documentary for skirting over her alleged affair - with scenes showing Dave and Victoria saying they have faced challenges in the past, but they fail to go into explicit detail. Rebecca thinks dragging the affair back into the spotlight in this way has undermined the incident, added a new insult to Victoria, and damaged her reputation.
Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, Rebecca hit out at the footballer and his show. She said: “I think it's one thing to keep your private life to yourself. It's another thing to mislead the public. And so many people had forgotten about all of this. So many people put all this behind them, this whole affair, the scandal and everything. And he's dragged it back up again in a way that is affecting my reputation.”
Rebecca went on to say she has sympathy for Victoria who will now be seeing her own integrity questioned by fans all over the world once again. She said: “The worse bit for me is that he says he didn't like seeing his wife suffer. That bothered me. Because he's the one that's caused the suffering.”

And if he had just said it was a tough time for us and moved on I wouldn't be here today. But he specifically made it look like… my fault, that he had nothing to do with this.”
During the course of the documentary, Victoria addresses the affair rumours that rocked her marriage when she lived in Spain. She told the cameras: “It was the hardest period for us. Because it felt like the world was against us.
“Here's the thing, we were against each other, if I'm being completely honest. Up until Madrid sometimes it felt like us against everybody else but we were together, we were connected, we had each other. But when we were in Spain, it didn't really feel like we had each other either. And that's sad. I can't even begin to tell you how hard it was. And how it affected me.”
Dave also pipes up about the affair rumours, saying: “I don't know how we got through it, in all honestly. Victoria is everything to me, to see her hurt was incredibly difficult, but we're fighters and at that time we needed to fight for each other, we needed to fight for our family.”
