Horse racing fans could not believe their eyes when they saw Ryan Moore as never seen before.

Japanese-born Hanako Varian launched her luxury fashion brand Newmarket 875 earlier this year and enlisted Moore to help promote the company’s winter range.

Moore is happiest away from the limelight and in public on the racetrack his first priority is to his job as first jockey to the worldwide racing powerhouse of Coolmore and Aidan' O'Brien's Ballydoyle stable..

But on the eve of Qipco British Champions Day at which Moore has a host of big race mounts., photos have been published of Moore in various clothing items for Hanako Varian’s brand.

Calling Moore a ‘cover star’, broadcaster Laura King said: “I never thought I’d see the day Ryan Moore did some modeling..”

She added: “Also: Ryan isn't great with the media, we know, but he's a really nice guy and would help out a friend.”

Newmarket 875’s winter jackets have a price tag ranging from £535 to £790.. Cashmere beanie hats are £90.

RacingTV pundit Eddie Fremantle remarked: "£790 for this jacket. I can get four Riverside Upper tickets for Fulham v Wolves for that and still have £70 over for two pints & a pie each."

Hanako Varian appreciated Moore’s help, saying: “Thank you for stopping by Ryan,” she wrote on X. “Looking good with our winter collection. We would like Newmarket to be known across the world!”
