Everton manager Sean Dyche has brushed off questions about the club's financial issues, saying he "knows what he needs to know".
The club are currently under investigation for breaching Financial Fair Play regulations by posting losses of nearly £372million over three years, exceeding the limit of £105m. The results of this investigation are expected next week, but may not be made public until November. If found guilty, Everton could face a hefty fine or points deduction.
In addition, there are concerns about the suitability of US investment firm 777 Partners as potential new owners. They have agreed to buy Farhad Moshiri's 94.1 per cent stake in the club.
The New York Times reported that 777 failed to provide information to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) about their bid. However, a company spokesperson insisted they had submitted all necessary documents when asked.
Despite these issues, Dyche remains focused on the upcoming Premier League match against Liverpool at Anfield. He said: "I know what I need to know and that's enough for me.

"I don't need to add in another level of someone's opinion. I know what I know from inside, it is often irrelevant what someone is saying from the outside because I know what's going on."
On the independent hearing, Dyche added: “I’ve stepped into the middle of it but it’s certainly not something that involves me as manager, but sort of distantly does from the fact that I am manager.
“I am sure there are people talking about lots of different things. I’m just looking at what we can control and I certainly can’t control that side of the club.
“I will wait and see the outcome, what it is and when the timelines are. I don’t know any more than that.”
The 243rd Merseyside derby presents the ideal motivation for the team to pick up where they left off before the international break, when they registered their first home win of the season against Bournemouth.
However, the club's record at Anfield is terrible as they have not won in front of fans since 1999, with their only victory coming in a behind-closed-doors Covid-era game in February 2021.
Dyche has experienced the fiery derby atmosphere once as Toffees boss a 2-0 defeat in only his second match in charge but has tasted success at the ground as Burnley manager, and significantly so as the Clarets' 1-0 win in January 2021 ended the Reds' 68-game unbeaten home league run.
At half-time of that match he had a tunnel bust-up with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp but Dyche said it was nothing out of the ordinary.
"Every manager should be passionate in what they do. I've never properly fallen out with a manager or held a grudge," he added. "We just both want the best for our teams, no problem with showing passion and commitment to the cause."
"It's a proper derby. This is the biggest one I know. I'm still relatively new to Everton and you earn the right to have the same depth about this game, I'm learning all the time."
