Fans went wild as Billie Eilish finally revealed the full version of her enormous back tattoo this week showing off the new intricate piece that has been met with mixed reactions.
The Grammy award-winning singer took to social media this week posting an artsy October photo dump featuring her brand new tattoo spanning from her back to her lower back. The Lovely singer first gave fans a sneak peek of the design when she removed her jersey while performing at Music Midtown in September, and now it seems it's nearly complete. And while some fans are raving over her new unique tattoo and eager to discover the hidden meaning, others were not so keen on the piece bashing the singer's bold choice.
Fans took to the comments on her latest post to share their reactions with one writing: "Please show us the fully colored version of your tattoo as it looks absolutely killer" with another adding: "SO HOT." And a third commented interested in what the secret meaning behind it could be writing: "Ik it's none of my business but I so badly want to know the story behind it. Sometimes it's just 'I felt like it looks nice and I always wanted it' but I feel like this could have a really interesting story/meaning behind it."

Others bashed the seemingly abstract piece with one writing: "It looks like someone sh*t down her back," and another adding: "if that's a tattoo then I can get one too by randomly scribbling on my back, be for real."
Customer fumes as tattoo artist selfishly hid their initials in designSome fans tried to take their guess at what the tattoo could symbolise with one fan calling attention to it's resemblance to dasascus steel. This is a type of forged steel that is used on the blades of swords that are recognized by it's distinctive pattern that usually resemble flowing water or roses. These kinds of blades are known to be impervious to shattering and have a very sharp edge.
Billie's newest tattoo joins her already growing collection that she has briefly spoken about in the past. Some of the 21-year-old singer's tattoos include her last name inked across the middle of her chest in a gothic font, a large black dragon on her upper right thigh, three small guardian angel fairies on her left hand, and now her expansive abstract back tattoo.
In an interview with Vanity Fair in 2021, Billie shared that she was interested in getting more tattoos, but does not plan to have them cover her whole body. She told the news outlet: "No, I'm not gonna be all tatted up. But I have some more ideas."
