Laura Simpson hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons in 2017, when she was involved in a scandal with football star Wayne Rooney.
The office worker and mum-of-one was in the passenger seat of her VW car with the former Manchester United and England football ace, when he was pulled over by police following a boozy night out in Cheshire. Wayne’s wife Coleen Rooney was heavily pregnant with the couple’s fourth child at the time, and the sportsman pleaded guilty to drink driving following his arrest.
The dad-of-four was banned driving for two years and ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid community work. At the time, Wayne was caught driving Laura’s VW Beetle home after they met in a club in Alderley Edge – but Laura later insisted they only kissed and hugged, and she denied ever having sex with the married footballer.
Office worker Laura was partying at the Bubble Room cocktail bar with her friends when she bumped into Wayne and his friends, and she claimed that the famous star was was instantly smitten with her once he laid eyes on her. Recalling the moment they first locked eyes in the club, Laura previously said: “I got to the bar around 10pm. He introduced himself with his mate and we sat down and had a talk and had a laugh. He kept admiring my boobs in my clingy top and asking what size they were.“

I’m not a marriage wrecker,” she told The Sun at the time. Although Laura saw it as just a bit of flirtatious banter, Wayne's livid wife didn't feel the same way.

Furious Coleen reportedly rang Laura after hearing news of Wayne’s arrest, and demanded to know the details of their night together. Laura claimed that WAG Coleen was fuming after being told the duo had left the Symposium Bar, where they had visited to get away from “prying eyes”, in a taxi to get to Laura’s VW Beetle, which Wayne was caught driving while three times over the limit.
Wayne apologised after he was handed a driving ban. He said at the time: “Following today's court hearing I want publicly to apologise for my unforgivable lack of judgement in driving while over the legal limit. It was completely wrong.
“I have already said sorry to my family, my manager and chairman and everyone at Everton FC. Now I want to apologise to all the fans and everyone else who has followed and supported me throughout my career.
“Of course I accept the sentence of the court and hope that I can make some amends through my community service.“

However, when Laura appeared on This Morning, viewers were left squirming after hosts former hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield interrogated her over her brief fling with Wayne.
“And if you were (Coleen), knowing exactly, as you're really the only person and him, who knows what went on – would you forgive and forget?”, Holly asked at the time. To which Laura replied: “I don't think he deserves, well, it's not my opinion, but I wouldn't do that to my partner.“ The mum-of-one continued to insist she had done “nothing wrong” while sat on the famous This Morning sofa.
Office worker turned estate agent Laura has since quit her humble profession to venture into the the world of a sugarbaby. Laura then became a member of a dating website, SeekingArrangement.com, that matches younger women with older men.
She also enjoyed a brief fling with Celebrity Big Brother star Jeremy McConnell, but now lives a much quieter life. Laura remains active on social media over six years on from her brief fling with Wayne, but her Instagram and Facebook accounts now shows her settled down with children.

Laura, who was once known as a huge party-lover, has now swapped her nights out for cosy nights in with her two daughters, and often shares wholesome photos of them from fun-filled days out pumpkin picking, to sweet moments at home of them playing in their back garden.

The former estate agent has also found lasting love with her handsome partner, who appears in several of her social media posts. Laura's fashion sense has also changed in recent years, with Wayne's former fling now choosing to ditch the party-girl look for a more dressed-down and wholesome yet stylish vibe.
