Kimberly Wyatt says Dancing on Ice was a 'living nightmare' and slams co-stars

Kimberly Wyatt has slammed her female rivals on last year's Dancing On Ice and said that her "dream" of getting perfect scores on the ITV ice skating show has been tempered by it being a 'living nightmare' to compete in.

The 41-year-old Pussycat Dolls singer reached the final of the competition but ended in third place, much to many viewers' consternation, and now she has said that her time on the show was dogged by nastiness being shown by her fellow competitors saying that the other women seemed to revel on their rivals failing on the ice.

A year after the show, Kimberley has said that the cattiness backstage was really disappointing and said that the experience was "horrible". The singer was one of 12 contestants on the show which included S Club star Rachel Stevens, Coronation Street stalwart Sally Dynevor and Love Island's Liberty Poole.

Speaking to The Sun, Kimberly said about her time on the ITV show: "Women hate women. And there are instances where the women do not want to root for other women doing well. There are often times where women revel in a woman failing, which is horrible. There’s a competitive nature that’s born in women. We are born to compete to get a man, so I feel there’s this competitive nature between women that needs to be resolved.”

She was also upset when she found out that she had been excluded from a Whatsapp group involving the other celebs on the show which made her feel "awkward". Kimberley's husband, model Max Rogers, added that the experience had shown that "much work needs to be done with women supporting women.”

The Pussycat Dolls star admitted that it wasn't just on the show that she had felt the bitterness of fellow females as she said that her time with her band had put her in hospital with anxiety and stress after the tensions with Nicole Scherzinger, Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta, Ashley Roberts, and Melody Thornton.

Kimberly said that she "hates" conflict and drama and said that while on tour in the United States, she would "get really sick" with what was going on in the band and this would lead to her being hospitalised once the tour had finished after finding that it had given her "stress in my brain."
