Liverpool have enjoyed an impressive enough start to the season and look like a side confident of securing Champions League status once again.
Qualifying for European club football's most elite competition is vital for the Reds, as without a return to the Champions League the club's audacious summer transfer plans could be scuppered. Jurgen Klopp hasn't always been able to spend freely while in the Anfield hot-seat, but could be gearing up for quite the shopping spree come the end of the current campaign.
Mirror Football has exclusively revealed that the sale of Mohamed Salah next summer could allow Klopp to bring in a number of high-profile additions as he aims to transform Liverpool into title challengers once again. With that in mind, here are the relevant headlines coming out of Anfield on Sunday, October 15.
Liverpool are believed to view Sane as their No.1 target to replace Mo Salah next summer.
The Reds are even ready to smash their club transfer record of £80m for Darwin Nunez in order to land the Germany winger's signature. The 27-year-old former Manchester City player is also attracting the interest of Real Madrid, but Klopp would love to lure Sane back to the Premier League in a club-record deal as is confident he can do so.

If Sane is going to join Liverpool, Klopp is likely to be a huge factor in swaying the German in the direction of Anfield. The Reds boss has long been a fan of the Bayern star and even tried to sign him before Sane ended up at Manchester City back in 2016.
Sane has since opened up on Liverpool's pursuit of him to the Guardian and gave some interesting comments on the man in the Anfield hot seat.
"Yes, I was also talking with them. Jurgen was calling me too, talking to me. That was before I joined City," he explained. "He did a good job at [Borussia] Dortmund – I met him when he was there. He's a good guy, nice guy – honest. He [has] worked well with Liverpool."
