Tiger Woods decided to sport a different look on the golf course while preparing for his comeback.

Woods was pictured on The Hay course in California not wearing his usual Nike gear, but instead sporting a "Call of Duty" hoodie - a game for which he has expressed his love for on numerous occasions.

It's certainly a strange look to see Woods on the course not wearing Nike - after being sponsored by the sporting giant since 1996 - going on to create one the most famous sporting partnerships in the world.

But instead of wearing his usual Nike hat, glove and polo t-shirt, he instead wore a hoodie from one of the world's most popular video games.

Woods, a known gamer and lover of the "Call of Duty" franchise, has used his time away from the sport while struggling with injuries by gaming on regular occasions.

Speaking in 2016, Woods said that he's able to transfer his competitive energy from golfing to gaming if he's ever away from the greens.

He said: "Yeah, I've had two back surgeries since then and, you know, I like to practice and compete all day. That's one of my things.

"I like to spend it out, but the thing is I wasn't able to do that on the golf course. So I applied my same intensity and my craft, my focus to 'Call of Duty.'"

He added: "I will spend eight hours a day, get a 30-minute lunch break, be in my reclining grandpa chair playing. I thought I was good because I got through the campaigns, no big deal, and went online. When seven-year-olds are beating you from around the world, it's humbling."

The golfing legend has been away from the sport on a consistent basis for numerous months while nursing a plantar fasciitis injury in his foot. That injury has plagued him after a life-threatening car crash in 2021 where it was reported that he sustained multiple leg injuries.

The 15-time major winner has undergone a number of procedures over the last 24 months but now looks likely to make a return to the sport to continue his 28-year playing career.

Woods was also spotted at a driving range at Liberty National in New Jersey just a few weeks ago, where he was giving advice to Rickie Fowler and Will Zalatoris.
