Reality star Lucy Watson has proudly showcased her blossoming pregnancy by posing with her bump on display as she celebrates nearing the end of her second trimester.
The 32-year-old former Made In Chelsea star is expecting her first child with 34-year-old husband James Dunmore – who was also a star on the hit E4 reality show. The pair, who tied-the-knot back in 2021, are expected to welcome their bundle of joy in early 2024 and Lucy has been documenting her pregnancy journey online.
On Friday, Lucy took to Instagram Stories to post for an artistically lit selfie where she gave her developing baby bump the spotlight. The TV star posed in a simple black bra and matching pair of underwear and held a protective hand over her the top of her tummy as she clicked for the camera.
Lucy added a simple and to the point caption along with the photo - writing: “Five months growing you,” along with a white heart emoji. The latest update comes after Lucy candidly opened up to other women hoping to fall pregnant, explaining that she had faced fertility challenges on her own pregnancy journey.
She took to social media last month and said: “I am just here with a little update. I am pregnant which is so surreal to me even at this stage and it's weird to say it. But I thought I owed it to anyone going through struggles with fertility to do a little video to acknowledge your pain. Sorry I am getting emotional, but I want to acknowledge everyone dealing with fertility issues. If this has been triggering for anyone then I can relate to that a lot.
Greggs, Costa & Pret coffees have 'huge differences in caffeine', says report“Everyone had been so sweet and I've had lots of messages on Instagram from similar people. Fertility problems aren't spoken about enough and if you've had a normal cycles and periods you assume it will happen really quickly for you. I had a few friends going through the same problems at the same time and some had harder journeys than others.
“I want to do a longer video on all I've learnt over the past two years and when I want to learn about something I'm pretty thorough. I've seen a lot of specialists and read a lot about this topic so I will do a longer video on that.”
Fans have flooded Lucy with notes of congratulations and encouragement – and have also asked her questions about her pregnancy journey. The star has been happy to field many questions from fans and explained that she will be maintaining her vegan diet through her pregnancy and plans to raise her child with a similar diet.
She said during an online Q&A: “For me veganism is a promise I made to the animals, one I will never break. No matter what. In terms of my diet, I’ve made a conscious effort to eat less processed food and more whole foods. Also - protein. I made sure I got at least 60g a day, protein is the building blocks of life and essential to grow a baby. Very achievable to get everything you need on a vegan diet, you just need to make a conscious effort, such as with any diet, to meet all your nutritional needs.”
