The Big Brother housemates have only been in the house for five days and have already dealt with a lot of drama and division.
The housemates nominated one another for eviction and those with the most nominations faced the public vote. Make-up artist Farida, 50, from Wolverhampton and NHS Manager Kerry, 40, from Essex both got the most votes and were battling to stay in the house during the first public vote of the series. Kerry received five nominations, whilst Farida received eight nominations.
After tensions rose in the house, Farida was named as the first person to get evicted from the new series. The remaining 15 housemates will continue competing with each other to be the winner of Big Brother and take home the whopping £100,000 cash prize.
Excitedly speaking as she walked out of the house and greeted the audience, she said: "I had the most amazing time! Thank you everyone for making the effort to come tonight!" Farida seemed happy as she waved and smiled at everyone while saying goodbye. Fans reacted to the news and rushed to social media to share their opinions of the first eviction.
Some were fuming and claimed Olivia should have been the first person to go. They said: "It was meant to be Olivia going tonight but the fucking idiot producers ruined it!!!!" Another Farida supporter said: "We love you Farida," while one posted: "Wow Kerry Slagging Freida off then Sobbing when she left."
TOWIE's Chloe Brockett makes cheeky dig at Saffron Lempriere during filmingA few viewers were happy to see her go and called her 'too much', with one saying: "Farida's eviction is the right decision cos she too much." One said: "Farida didn't do herself any favours in todays episode (and in yesterdays either tbh). Glad she's gone."
After learning she and Kerry were the two highest-nominated housemates to leave, Farida became suspicious of the remaining youngsters and accused them of banding together to get rid of the two oldest people. "All the youngsters stuck together and they got out the oldest people," she said.
Her comment made Olivia laugh, and that only made things worse. “Don’t laugh ‘cos that’s not nice!” Farida bit back. “I’m not laughing at that but you’re making it out as if we’ve all grouped together,” explained Olivia. “No, that’s exactly what happened,” Farida responded. “I can’t be arsed with that… f**cking hell!” Olivia exclaimed before walking away from the situation.
Meanwhile, Jenkin suspected Kerry wasn't handling the news of her nominations quite as well as she appeared to, telling Big Brother: “I reckon, it’s gonna brew and the more that Kerry is saying she’s not bothered it’s going to sort of start to seem like she is… which might wind up Farida. It’s like the battle of the titans isn’t it, the two maternal figures.”
