John Fury once again stole the show as he attempted to punch through the cage separating his son Tommy from YouTuber KSI in their penultimate face-off.

The former heavyweight fighter was kept away from the stage for the pair's press conference, but in standard fashion got himself involved by shouting from the side. KSI kept him engaged with a series of mocking jabs, and Tommy demanded his father be given a seat, although promoters kept that from happening.

Yesterday, KSI spat at the elder Fury from a balcony at the pair's open workouts, which enraged the family. Tommy told Mirror Fighting that it was a "scruffy" move, and that he has "no respect" for his rival after the stunt, with things again getting physical this afternoon.

WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE

The incident followed a controversial altercation between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis, which put the co-headliner of the event in jeopardy. The pair threw bottles at one another before Danis punched his opponent while holding a microphone. Misfits Boxing had decided to install a cage in order to keep the fighters from getting physical ahead of Saturday as the feuds build to an heated crescendo. They opted not to face off undercard fighters earlier in the day, before the Paul-Danis incident soured the day.

Paul left the venue with his hood up, opting not to show off the nature of his injury as the fight now hangs in the balance. Should he be unable to compete, bareknuckle fighter Mike Perry is waiting in the wings having been drafted in in the event Danis pulled out.

Whether Danis would be allowed to compete having injured Paul remains to be seen but Perry has remained confident all week that he would be required in Manchester this weekend. "I'm just waiting for my opportunities. I'm supposed to be weighing in and I assume I will be getting ready in the back to the point where if Danis walks out, gets in the ring, answers the bell and gets straight out of the ring again and doesn't fight, I will get in and Logan is going to fight me," he told Mirror Fighting.

"I'm ready for it and maybe that's why they called on me to be the back-up opponent. They're trying to take care of me as far as because I'm here, but it's kind of weird, I want to be ready to fight and I want to fight, I really want to."
