Modern Warfare 3's second beta weekend is kicking off later today, here's everything you need to know about it including the start time and end date.
The Modern Warfare 3 beta kicked off last weekend exclusively for users on PlayStation consoles. Now, users on Xbox and PC will get to join in the fun this weekend as the Modern Warfare 3 beta arrives on those platforms.
Modern Warfare 3 is the next Call of Duty title, arriving next month on November 10, 2023. This entry features remade maps from 2009's Modern Warfare 2. Last week's beta included the likes of Rust, Skidrow, and Estate, with this weekend's beta adding the fan favourite Highrise and Orlov Military Base.
Modern Warfare 3 beta: Xbox and PC early access start time and end dates
The Xbox and PC Modern Warfare 3 beta early access period will begin on Thursday, October 12 at 6pm BST / 1pm EDT / 10am PDT, and will run until Saturday, October 14 at 6pm BST / 1pm EDT / 10am PDT, with PlayStation players also able to play at this time regardless of whether they had early access to last week's beta or not. Xbox and PC players will have to pre-order the game to get an early access code.
Then it's time for the Modern Warfare 3 open beta, which is open to all players on all platforms, regardless of pre-order status, which begins on Saturday, October 14 at 6pm BST / 1pm EDT / 10am PDT and runs until Tuesday, October 16 at 6pm BST / 1pm EDT / 10am PDT.

Alternatively, you can tune in to our stream on the Mirror Gaming YouTube channel (featured above) where we'll be giving out early access beta codes at 11am BST / 6am EDT / 3am PDT on Friday, October 13.
Modern Warfare 3 beta: how to redeem codes
If you pre-order the game physically you'll be sent a code from your retailer, which you then have to enter in the Call of Duty beta redeem page. You'll need to have a Call of Duty account and sign in with it on the page to redeem these. This also applies to any codes won through our giveaway mentioned above.
If you've pre-ordered the game digitally, you don't need to worry about redeeming any codes, the beta will appear in your library automatically available to download.
Modern Warfare 3: preload
The beta is available to preload on all platforms now. Players on PlayStation can preload regardless of pre-order status, but only players who have pre-ordered can preload the game on Xbox and PC. The Modern Warfare 3 beta comes in at the following file sizes on each platform:
- PlayStation – 24.8GB
- Xbox – 28GB
- PC – 24GB
It's not the worst we've seen in terms of Call of Duty filesizes, so preloading isn't as much of a necessity as it would usually be. But, if you've never downloaded Modern Warfare 2 or Warzone, your download will come in at over 100GB.
