Glyn Wise, the former Big Brother star who captured the hearts of the nation with his endearing personality, seemingly disappeared after his 15-minutes of fame, leaving fans wondering what became of him.

Almost 17 years have passed since season six of the well-loved Big Brother series started and launched the careers of household names including the late Nikki Grahame, Pete Bennett and Glyn. Glyn, who was just 18 when he entered the house in 2006, quickly became a fan favourite thanks to his charming personality and innocence.

Despite being one of the youngest contestants, Glyn held his own against the more worldly housemates and ended up coming in second place. During his time in the house, he had many memorable moments, including learning how to cook an egg for the first time and accidentally dyeing his hair ginger. He even spoke Welsh to fellow housemate Imogen Thomas, which delighted viewers.

Despite his success on the show, Glyn has chosen to pursue a different path in life compared to his former housemates. Instead of seeking fame and fortune in the entertainment industry, Glyn has focused on his studies and gone for a completely new career.

After leaving the show, Glyn went to college, worked as a teacher in Gwynedd, and even stood for Plaid in Cardiff Central at the National Assembly election in 2015. However, he quit the party just three months later due to the party's support for the European Union.

But now, it seems that Glyn - who these days looks a lot different to his former self - has found his true calling. Despite his media success, he never stopped sharing his faith, and he appears to have decided to become an ordained minister. Glyn, who has been a Christian since attending Sunday school as a child, wrote on social media: "Done it! I've been accepted for Ordained Ministry with the Church in Wales." It seems that this latest career move is a natural progression for him. Despite his media success, he never stopped sharing his faith, and he appears to have decided to become an ordained minister in the future.

Speaking to Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary in 2022, Glyn revealed that working as a teacher in China had a big impact on his faith. He said: "Christianity is growing on a massive scale in South East Asia, so I went to church there, and even other teachers were like do you want to come to Bible study class. I grew in faith as I went along with that."

"The pastor or priest was talking and I felt like everything he was saying was direly to me, and what was amazing was they were bringing the Bible into 2022, making relevance to every walk of life and that's what I'd like to bring forward."
