Fortnitemares is arriving alongside Fortnite update 26.30 later today but you'll need to wait through some server downtime first.

Original story: Fortnite's third update of Chapter 4 Season 4 is arriving today, and Fortnite update 26.30 will be live following some server downtime. This update will be saying goodbye to the Ahsoka Tano-themed items introduced in Fortnite update 26.20 (but not the skin itself which you can still unlock).
The focus of Fortnite update 26.30 is to kick off the annual Halloween event Fortnitemares. The event has taken place every year since Fortnite launched and Fortnitemares 2023 is arriving in-game right on schedule.

Fortnite Update 26.30 downtime started earlier today at 8am BST / 3am EDT / 12am PDT as confirmed by Epic Games via a post on the @FortniteStatus Twitter account. Although matchmaking was disabled 30 minutes beforehand.

We'd expect Fortnite to be down until 12pm BST / 7am EDT / 4am PDT at the latest. Fortnite downtime typically lasts about four hours each time, although in our experience the servers usually come back online earlier than Epic Games announcing that the downtime is over.

The official Fortnite Trello board is Epic Games' place to keep players updated on what bugfixes are being looked at by the team. The following issues are labelled "Fixed in Next Game Update", so they will be included in today's patch:
Some players may find that trees are not rendering in correctly and appear sparse.
Meanwhile, the following are listed as "Fixed in Future Game Update" which means they could either be included in this update or through a hotfix before Update 26.40:
The exclamation mark above the Quest tab may not clear after clearing all new Quests.
Players are currently unable to delete presets in their locker.
We are aware of a bug causing the Mainframe Throwback Quest Pack's Pickaxe styles to display an incorrect texture.
