Big Brother fever is in full swing as the rebooted series is set to return to ITV2 this weekend. One of the most memorable housemates from the original series is Norfolk hairdresser, Craig Coates, but these days he looks like a different man compared to when he appeared in series six.
Back in 2005, baby-faced Craig was clean-shaven and had a short, spiky up-do as was a very popular style at the time. Now Craig – who joined the army in 2013 – has much shorter hair and sea-themed tattoo sleeves.
Craig's description of himself as he entered the Big Brother house was 'fit, fanciable and deceitful' and during his stint on the show he was put up for eviction twice, before finally exiting the process just two days before the final. The eventual winner that year was hairdresser Anthony Hutton with who Craig struck up a friendship.
Now, Craig sports a more rugged look with facial hair while his hair is shaved at the sides and he has both arms inked.
Despite enlisting in the army for a short stint in 2013, Craig is said to have now returned to his original passion before he entered the iconic Big Brother House – as he now works as a hairdresser.
Corrie's Sue Cleaver says I'm A Celebrity stint helped her to push boundariesOther contestants that year included Makosi Musambasi, who was involved in a pregnancy scare drama after a romp with Hutton in the jacuzzi and engineer Eugene Sully. Craig and Makosi returned to the Big Brother house in 2010 for a celebration of the show's tenth year.
Big Brother is returning to TV after being axed by Channel 5 back in 2018. This time the show is fronted by AJ Odudu and Will Best and will air on ITV2, kicking off on Sunday, October 8. Big Brother: The Launch will air on ITV1, ITV2 and ITVX in a disruptive multi-channel and streaming takeover. The remainder of the series will be available nightly at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX - apart from Saturdays.
