'Drunk rich girl' in Tesla gets pulled over - says 'my father owns an island'

Footage shows the moment a drunk Tesla driver became angry when she was pulled over by cops - telling them her father owned an island.

Stephanie Bloodworth was pulled over as a 24-year-old in her native Florida for seeing and because police thought she was driving drunk. "Can I call my father? He owns an island," she told police in February 2022 as she was handcuffed.

She "refused to comply" with her arrest, according to officers, and then became abusive while kicking and screaming at them while she was arrested. "This is what happens when you flee and then you kick me," Bloodworth was told as she was held down.

Bloodworth told officers they were on her father's property and "I need my dad here before you do anything to me." In response, an officer said, "no that's not how this works you're 24 years old."

The young woman was found driving vertically around Duck Key, which she claims is owned by her father. It is an unincorporated community in Monroe County.

Eventually, Bloodworth's father did arrive at the scene and told his daughter she will "have to calm down." "Now the way that you've acted you've gotten yourself in a deep hole and now they're gonna take you to jail... There's nothing I can do. I'll get down there and see you when I can. But you can't start acting out it's just gonna get worse."

Later, one of the cops could be heard telling the dad he was "so happy that she didn't kill someone" and that it was "a blessing in disguise."

Bloodworth was charged with resisting fleeing police, an officer, a DUI, and a moving traffic violation for reckless driving, the Daily Mail reported. Court documents said she was held in the Monroe County Detention Facility in Key West and wanted to address substance abuse problems with the Jail Incarceration Programme.

Three bonds were posted for three charges, amounting to $110,000. She was able to leave the country despite being on probation because she had a holiday due on a Royal Caribbean Cruise.

It comes as elsewhere in Florida, a man accused of shooting down a law enforcement drone being used at a business near his Florida home could be sentenced to 10 years in federal prison.

Wendell Doyle Goney, 52, of Mount Dora, pleaded guilty Thursday in Ocala federal court to possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, according to court records. His sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 18.

Lake County sheriff’s deputies responded to a burglary at a 10-acre industrial property in July 2021 in Mount Dora, northwest of Orlando, according to a plea agreement.
