A dad has been mocked for selling a sofa for £750, despite it being covered in his kid’s permanent marker drawings.

The leather cream three-seater is originally from DFS with two reclining seats. But there is a catch - as the sofa has been scribbled all over with a black marker pen. Each cushion has different markings on it, including child drawings of cars.

The entirety of the settee has been festooned with marker doodles - including the arms and even the wall in seller Esfandiar Aria's living room. Despite the unsightly drawings, the dad has listed the sofa for sale and is asking for £750 for the item on Facebook Marketplace, reduced from £1,250. It is available to be picked up from Luton, Bedfordshire.

He says he only bought the sofa a few months ago and added: “There is nothing wrong with it except what you see.” The listing reads: “This is a beautiful creamy Winston three-seat sofa from DFS. Used only for a few months. Recliners: Electric/ automatic.

“Reason for selling: My little one drew all over it with black ink permanent marker. There is nothing wrong with it except what you see.” Facebook Marketplace shoppers were left in stitches at the listing. Shopper Andy McCabe said: “This is art.”

One shopper said: “Being a father of a sweet girl I can relate.” Another shopper said: “Banksy.” Moe Jason said: “Get it in a gallery.” ”Should take it to a modern art gallery and sell it for £5,000,000,” said another user.
