Police have released a CCTV image of a man in connection with a woman being raped inside her tent at Reading Festival.

The attack took place sometime between midnight and 2.45am on Sunday, August 27, said Thames Valley Police. Some 100,000 people descended on the music festival, which is one of the biggest in the UK and took place over the bank holiday weekend.

Officers have now shared a photo of a man dressed in a light grey 'Supreme' hoodie underneath a red, blue, white and black rain jacket. His eyes are obscured, while his mouth and nose remains visible.

In a statement last night, the force said: "Thames Valley Police is releasing a CCTV image in relation to a rape at Reading Festival. The victim, a woman, was raped in her tent by a male at Reading Festival sometime between midnight and 2.45am on Sunday 27 August this year."

Detectives appealed for anyone who is the man, or can identify him, to get in touch as soon as possible. Investigating officer, DC Natasha Black said: "Today I am releasing this CCTV image of a male that could have vital information about the offence.
