EastEnders' exit storyline for Rocky Cotton has been teased in new spoilers.
Actor Brian Conley has confirmed he is departing the BBC soap as Rocky Cotton, with fans still unsure how he will leave the show. There are two big storylines coming on the soap, including the fire at Kathy's café and of course, the Christmas murder.
New spoilers for next week have teased more about Rocky and Kathy's relationship, as they seemingly start to struggle. Could this be part of his exit storyline on the BBC soap, or does what happen in the next few weeks start a brand new storyline ahead of the fire in the autumn and the murder twist later this year on Sharon's wedding day?
Next week on the BBC soap, Rocky tries to get Kathy in the mood for some alone time, but with them living at Sonia, it makes things quite tricky. Rocky decides he wants to do something romantic and plans a big picnic at the car lot.
However, it doesn't go down too well with Kathy, who is furious at him for spending money that they simply don't have. She's clearly not impressed, and Rocky knows he's got a lot of making up to do to get them back on the straight and narrow.
EastEnders' Jake Wood's snap of son has fans pointing out the pair's likenessBrian had previously spoken out about his exit from the BBC soap, insisting there were no hard feelings between him and the soap's bosses, amid reports that he had been "feuding" with producers and was desperate to be written out quickly.
He said: "Hello lovely people, it's me, Brian Conley AKA Rocky from EastEnders. Sending out this message, especially to all the EastEnders fans. Now, you may have heard reports that I'm leaving EastEnders and it was a tough decision but it is true... I am going.
"I made it for many reasons, this decision, and it's tough because they're such a wonderful crowd. In front of the cameras and behind the cameras, I've loved my three years there. So that's the truth in the reports! There's other parts of the reports saying that I 'clashed' with TV bosses and the crew. I didn't 'clash' with anyone, I didn't have a rant."
In a statement at the time, the BBC also said: "We can confirm that Brian Conley will be leaving EastEnders. There is absolutely no truth in any claims of a feud with bosses and the show fully support Brian in his decision to leave which was made some time ago. We wish him the best of luck for the future as we continue to work towards his exit storyline which has been in the works for some time."
