You can recruit a number of companions in your Starfield adventure, with one of the possible companions being extremely recognisable to anyone with an keen interest in history.

Starfield has more than 20 companions available to join you on your adventure, including one of the most bizarre inclusions in all of Starfield: Amelia Earhart – yes that Amelia Earhart. During your adventure you'll come across a planet in the Charybdis system which is inhabited by clones of historical figures, however, Amelia Earhart is the only one able to join you on your adventure.

But convincing Amelia Earhart to join you in Starfield isn't as simple as walking up to her and asking her to join. There's a lengthy side-quest you'll need to make your way through and complete before she'll join your cause. But it's worth doing, as her skills in piloting rank her among the best companions in Starfield.

Where to find Amelia Earhart in Starfield

Amelia Earhart's home in Starfield is on the planet Charybdis 3 which can be found in the Charybdis system. You'll need to have levelled up your ship to a high level (we'd suggest enough that you can jump around 30 light-years) as this system is in the farthest reaches of space.

Once you get close to the planet you'll receive a distress signal from Charybdis 3, follow that to the planet and you'll eventually meet up with a man named Franklin. As you'll quickly find out, the Franklin in question is none other than the 32nd President of the United States, Franklin Roosevelt. You'll soon find out that Franklin is a clone of the real FDR, in fact, the planet is inhabited by clones of major historical figures.

Head outside Franklin's house and you'll bump into another historical figure, Amelia Earhart, who you can have a chat with and in doing so, find out that she longs to take to the skies.

How to recruit Amelia Earhart in Starfield

When talking to Franklin you'll be plunged into the Operation Starseed questline which you'll need to follow through to its conclusion. At the end of this quest, you'll need to pick a side between Franklin Roosevelt, Genghis Kahn, and Amanirenas. It does not matter which side you take, take whatever side you want to follow.

As long as you don't destroy the facility, you can go back and chat with Amelia Earhart, who will then be available to join your crew. Amelia has a level 2 piloting skill and a level 2 Rifle Certification skill, making her a solid choice for your ship's crew.
