EastEnders star Shona McGarty has delighted fans after showing off her boyfriend on social media, after months of speculation over her mysterious relationship status.
The 31-year-old actor, best known for playing Whitney Dean on the BBC soap, took to Instagram on Monday to post a snap of her snuggling up with her new boyfriend David Bracken, much to the excitement of her 201,000 followers.
Like Shona, her beau is also heavily involved in the entertainment industry and has been making a living as the lead guitarist of the Irish duo Blessed for nearly 13 years. It's understood that the talented musician, who hails from Pollagh, County Offaly in Ireland, has reportedly been dating Shona for at least a few months.
"My whole word," Shona captioned the tender black-and-white snap, which shows her cuddling a smitten David at a wedding.
Shona, who announced her departure from EastEnders after 15 years in July, was previously reportedly dating Albert Square co-star Max Bowden, who plays Ben Mitchell. The showbiz couple are said to have split after just six months.

"It’s lovely to be here tonight because Max’s mum’s here and I haven’t seen her for ages, I adore her," she gushed to the Mirror. "So it’s lovely to catch up with her. We’re actually better than ever. It’s a friendship, we’re such in a good place."
Shona was also previously engaged to Ryan Harris between 2018 and 2020. Prior to this, she dated former EastEnders star Matt Lapinskas, who portrayed Anthony Moon on the hit show from 2011 to 2012.
Shona also hinted at the British Soap Awards in June that she was seeing somebody new, but decided against giving further details. It appears she's finally ready to share her love with the world, however, after seemingly confirming she was in a relationship with a subtle post on Instagram last month.
The singer posted a black-and-white photo of her hand holding onto another with the caption, "Love is a promise, love is a souvenir, once given, never forgotten never let it disappear." Fans of the soap star were quick to hail the John Lennon reference, with many taking to the comment section to give offer approving reactions to her newfound romance.
"I am so happy for you, Shona! Every happiness sent your way. May lots of love and light surround you," one person wrote, while another said, "So happy for you!! Such a nice guy, you deserve this so much."
